Valve has unveiled changes to how demos work on Steam, as the company is aiming to make them easier to discover. These updates will see demos redesigned to be more like standalone games on the platform, giving them their own store page separate from the main game’s hub. The benefit to this is that the demo page can contain separate screenshots, trailers, and details on these slices of the full game to help set them apart and give potential players more accurate information. You’ll also be able to add demos to your collection without needing to download it straight away, and when it’s uninstalled, it’ll also be removed from your library.
According to Valve, these changes are driven by developer and player feedback, and players can expect to receive alerts for demos of wishlisted games. Pages for demos will include buttons to install the content, leave user reviews, and be redirected to the game’s main page. Valve also plans to list demos more frequently on Steam’s most-visited …

Read moreIt'll Take Years (Or Hundreds Of Dollars) To Convert All Your Destiny 2 Armor With Its New Transmog System
Destiny 2’s transmog system has elements you can earn for free or pay for with premium currency, but limitations on what you can get in-game already have some players upset. As a few have already pointed out on Twitter and Reddit, the limitations on currency you can earn in-game for free means that converting your stock of armor into “ornaments” that can be applied to other armor–Bungie’s new transmogrification system–will take years.
The details on transmog were included in a This Week at Bungie blog post, which filled in gaps on the transmogrification system that Bungie has been talking about for a while now. The system allows you to convert any piece of armor you have into a “universal ornament,” which you can then equip to other armor to change its appearance. Essentially, if you like the look of one armor piece but not its stats, you can change it into a cosmetic ornament. Other MMOs have similar systems and allow players a greater degree of customization for their appe…

When Tron: Ares was first announced, it was described as both a standalone sequel and the next chapter for the franchise. However, the film will apparently have a greater link to the past than previously expected. Jeff Bridges–the star of the original Tron from 1982 and its 2010 sequel, Tron: Legacy–has confirmed that he will appear as Kevin Flynn opposite Jared Leto in Tron: Ares.
Via The Playlist, Bridges made the announcement while appearing on the Film Comment podcast. “I’m heading off this Saturday to play a part in the third installment of the Tron story,” said Bridges. “I’m excited about that. It’s wild. Jared Leto is the star of this third one, and I’m really anxious to work with him, and I’ve admired his work.”
Leto is playing the film’s title character, Ares. But so far, none of the other characters have been revealed. Cameron Monaghan, one of the co-stars of the film, recently praised the sequel’s advancement in visual effects. That was also something that…
